I remember seeing stairs like this when we lived in France. I tried to find something about them online, but ended up finding a manufacturer of precast concrete stairs in Great Britain. Here’s the link, FYI:

I love spiral staircases! I once visited a private library that had a spiral staircase up to the gallery level. So cool!

Hey, well I wrote a very long winded response and it seems to have disappeared. Yes, spiral stairs are nice but sometime not functional, especially where building codes require handrails. In this photo the latter half of the stairs have no handrail adding great functionality for moving stuff up…..
